  1. I had to stop reading the article when the author claimed MiraLAX was a sugar alcohol; polyethylene glycol(PEG), the only ingredient in MiraLAX is not a sugar alcohol, it’s made from ethylene oxide which can contain many impurities such as ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, formaldehyde and 1,4 dioxane; all of which are very toxic! The FDA may do their homework one day and look into the safety of PEG.

    1. As an integrative nurse. Miralax is poison and unfit for human consumption. The main ingredient is PEG, polyethylene glycol. It is a petrochemical that is used to sterilize medical equipment. The FDA already knows that as they did studies in 2008. The healthcare and pharmaceutical industry chooses money over our health. Magnesium has the same effect but is a mineral our body needs, and is safe to use for constipation along with plenty of fluids.
