Hmm, that is the first time I have been referenced as a Falcon freak!

I wonder about parting ways with a nice ride. My oldest son has not had to sell any vehicles or possesions to go to college. The grants and loans have supported him, even with off campus apartment. Actually living off campus costs less then the dorm and meal package did his first semester. He completed a associate's degree first, then tranferred credits to a college which he has one more semester to complete. I have been no help financially, but other sources have come through for him. He does have a collector car that would have carried him through one year, but no more than that. Not a good trade off in his mind, nor mine either.

The Falcon is bought and paid for, plus maintainence is low. It will cost considerably more for a newer vehicle and the parts alone are expensive. Just a couple thoughts to consider.

I think I would keep it as well.

However, I wouldn't dare assume that I know anything about your financial situation

Then again, I can sure see regret after college is done if you sell it now.

That and it sure seems like you've had that up on craigslist for the better part of 2008. Too much longer and you are apt to go for a price much lower than will help you/it is worth.

But you have to do what is right for you.

I have a few pics of your car saved in my "Falcon"folder". You had a very cool car. Loved the tail lights.
Get your education done with, get a good job and you will have the cash and the time for another car. Most of us had to give up our "pride & joy" at one time or another, marrage, kids, school, divorce or all of the above  but in time you will be driving another Falcon or you may get lucky enough to buy yours back again. How close are you to completing your education?
Best of luck you and throw a post on now and then to let us know how your doing.

i think when you decide to get another one there won't be one like what you had and sold for$$$ amount, but oh well i definatley understand the financial stuff. i had several cars that i really regret selling but can't do anything about it. thats life! sorry for your loss.
